A German delegation knocks on the doors of the automotive industry in Algeria

Six German industrial companies are expected to arrive in Algeria during the period from June 28 to July 3, 2026, with the aim of exploring investment and partnership opportunities in the field of automotive manufacturing and component handling.

This visit comes in a context of a new dynamic to enhance Algerian-German industrial cooperation, as it is organized by both the Algerian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the German company "Inviacon International," with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Exploring investment opportunities

The German delegation is expected to include companies active in the automotive industry, component suppliers, and subcontractors, at a time when Algeria is seeking to develop a local industrial base capable of reducing dependence on imports and strengthening national production.

These moves are part of a vision aimed at raising the local integration rate in the automotive industry to more than 30 percent by the end of 2026, in parallel with the launch and expansion of major projects in the sector, including the "Stellantis" group project in the Tafraoui area.

Within the framework of this visit, an official conference will be organized on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the "Hyatt Regency" hotel in Algiers, bringing together representatives of the industrial sector in Algeria and their counterparts from German companies, with the aim of discussing cooperation opportunities and concluding new investment partnerships.

This initiative is expected to contribute to consolidating Algerian-German economic relations, which are moving towards diversifying areas of cooperation, especially in the industrial and technological sectors, in light of the growing interest of European companies in investing in the Algerian market.
