Prime Minister Sifi Gharib began a working and inspection visit to Batna on Wednesday, during which he oversaw the inauguration and launch of several industrial projects as part of the strategy to revive confiscated projects and reintegrate them into the economic cycle.
The Prime Minister began his program by launching a project for a factory producing metal parts and components using molding technology, which is expected to form the core of a promising industrial hub for developing the automotive structure industry in Algeria, by strengthening local integration and reducing dependence on imports, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's office.
The same source explained that this project comes as a realization of the directives of the higher authorities aimed at reviving confiscated projects within the framework of the fight against corruption, and valuing them as public assets that contribute to supporting the national economy and creating added value.
Projects to strengthen industry and create jobs
The Prime Minister also oversaw the inauguration of a unit for assembling cold storage rooms for trucks, a step aimed at localizing strategic industries and strengthening national supply chains, in addition to supporting local integration in the vehicle sector.
These projects are expected to contribute to creating quality jobs, transferring knowledge, and developing national skills, as well as meeting local market needs and moving towards future exports.
Agreements to support investment and industrial partnerships
The visit also witnessed the signing of several agreements related to supporting investment and promoting industrial development, especially in the fields of subcontracting and strengthening partnerships between economic institutions, in a way that supports the national industrial fabric.
