The Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in the State of Qatar has issued an announcement for the benefit of members of the Algerian community residing there, regarding the customs clearance of vehicles that are new and have a diesel engine, within the framework of benefiting from the Certificate of Change of Residence (CCR).
The Embassy clarified that a transitional system has been established, with its application extending until June 30, 2026, which allows for the customs clearance of new diesel-engine vehicles for the benefit of Algerian citizens residing abroad, in accordance with the conditions in effect before the Finance Law for the year 2026 comes into force.
In this context, citizens wishing to benefit from this transitional measure must provide supporting documents showing the direct acquisition of a diesel-engine vehicle before January 01, 2026, for the purpose of changing residence.
These documents include a purchase invoice, proof of payment for a portion of the vehicle's price, in addition to an official correspondence from the Embassy services confirming to the concerned party the possibility of importing this type of vehicle following their request to benefit from the change of residence, along with other supporting documents.
